WHAT IT ASKS
The ten questions.
Nothing technical and nothing to look up. Every question is about how your business already works today.
- 01
How often does anyone in your business use an AI chat like ChatGPT for real work?
- 02
When you ask AI to write something for your business, how much do you have to explain first?
- 03
Is your business written down anywhere: what you sell, what you charge, how you work?
- 04
Can AI see your real numbers: sales, invoices, ad spend, stock?
- 05
Think of a job you repeat every week, like a report or a standard reply. How does it get done?
- 06
If someone new joined on Monday, what would you hand them?
- 07
Does any work in your business finish without a person starting it?
- 08
On a Monday morning, how do you find out what happened last week?
- 09
When someone works out a good way to get AI to do a job, where does that end up?
- 10
If you switched to a different AI tool next year, how much of what you've built would survive?
WHAT YOU GET BACK
The five levels you could land on.
Your answers put you on one of these. Each result explains what that means for your business and names the single next move worth making.
- 01Level 1: Chat
- You're using AI the way most businesses use it, as a smarter search box. You ask a question, you get something usable back, and tomorrow you type all the same background in again. Nothing you tell it survives the week, so every session starts from zero and the answers stay generic because they have to be.
- 02Level 2: Context
- Some of your business exists in writing, and it shows. The answers you get back sound closer to your own words, and you're re-explaining yourself less than you used to. You've done the part most owners never get around to.
- 03Level 3: Skills
- You have written-down jobs that run reliably, which puts you ahead of nearly every business your size. The report gets built the same way each month, the standard replies come out sounding like your company and your team can hand work to AI without you standing over them.
- 04Level 4: Workflows
- Work in your business now finishes while you're doing something else. Reports arrive written, replies arrive drafted and jobs complete on a schedule rather than on a reminder. Very few businesses get this far, and the ones that do usually got there because someone senior cared enough to build it.
- 05Level 5: The OS
- You've built the thing this whole method is aiming at. Your business is written down, connected to its own numbers, running repeatable jobs on a schedule, and one screen tells you what happened without you asking anyone. You own it, and it would survive you changing AI tools next year.
QUESTIONS
Before you start.
A structured way of finding out how far your business has got with AI and what the next useful step is. This one asks 10 questions about how you already work, then puts you on one of five levels and names the single next move worth making.
About two minutes. There is nothing to look up and nothing technical, because every question is about how your business runs today rather than about the tools you use.
No. Your result appears on screen as soon as you finish, with no email and no sign-up. You can send yourself a copy if you want one, but nothing is held back if you don't.
Yes, and there is no paid version of it. If your result says you don't need to hire anyone yet, it will say exactly that.
The level your business is on, what that level means in practice, and the one next move worth making from where you stand. Most people can act on that move themselves without paying anybody.
